Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced SE&I professional to join our Lunar program.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to*

  • Develop system and subsystem requirements (design & verification)

  • Develop verification plans and verification closure documentation including detailed test plans, procedures, and schedule for verifying system requirements.

  • Develop, update and track Systems Engineering Products (MEL/PEL, ICDs, Alignment Tree, Integrated T&V Plans, ConOps, FMEA, etc.)

  • Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews

  • Identify and coordinate test facilities and test equipment procurement and audit integration and test facilities to ensure alignment with quality processes.

  • Coordinate integration and testing of spacecraft systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments.

  • Perform analysis of test results and prepare test reports

  • Optimize the use of simulators and emulators to accelerate testing and aid troubleshooting.

Required skills/abilities*

  • Understanding of space flight hardware and electronics, environmental testing, and  ground and test equipment

  • Knowledge of spaceflight hardware development and testing

  • Ability to follow and provide improvement to the existing Quality Management System

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and electronics issues from a systematic approach

  • Lead the development of infrastructure for integrated testing of space systems

  • Implement risk management processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork and organizational skills

  • Preferred Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing processes


  • B.S. Engineering and 15 years experience or Master’s degree and 10 years experience, preferably in an aerospace or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with the aerospace industry and spaceflight hardware design, development,  integration and test.

*U.S. citizenship is required.
