Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced LabVIEW developer to join our Lunar program.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to*

  • LabVIEW development for a test stand in support of the cryogenic engine.

  • Ability to code critical control logic for throttle valves, engine gimbals, power supplies, and electronic regulators.

  • Generate displays and controls

  • Troubleshoot operational processes

  • Define interfaces for hardware in the loop testing with flight computers

  • Verify requirements and processes

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate detailed phases of a major project.

  • Design, support, improve and test high complexity test systems and equipment.

  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, testability and reliability criteria. Independently troubleshoot/analyze system problems.

  • Promote and implement process improvements.

  • Evaluate and define engineering processes and procedures.

  • Participate in the creation and evaluation of new product test requirements, test methods and strategies; provide estimates for new test equipment.

  • Create test system development procedures, tools, and innovation practices to ensure best in class company performance.


  • Bachelor's degree in Technical/Science or International equivalent required (Aerospace or Computer Science desired).

  • Master's degree in Technical/Science or International equivalent desired (Aerospace or Computer Science desired).

  • Professional certifications preferred (ie. National Instruments Lab View, Test Stand Certificate, etc.)

  • 5-10 years of professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required*

  • Proven Expertise with LabVIEW, engineering knowledge; complete understanding of component functions and testing requirements.

  • Understands manufacturing processes, drawings, and geometric tolerances as well as shop standards.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and presentation skills; advanced technical writing skills (procedures, reports, etc.).

  • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills and analytical calculation skills.

  • Competent knowledge of accuracy analyses, instrumentation calibration theory, and tolerance stack-ups.

  • Solid use of PCs and associated software.

  • Effective time management skills.  Ability to strategically prioritize based on business needs.

  • Promotes a cross-functional project team environment, communicates with Customers.

  • Project lead of small teams.  Participates in setting technical direction.  Provides technical problems-solving guidance to others.

  • Expert knowledge of physical systems and physics thereof.

  • Expert use and understanding of analytics, modeling, and/or design software/tools as appropriate.

  • Expert in most applicable types of test systems.
