The Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform a wide range of recruiting and sourcing duties for both commercial and government endeavors. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports directly to senior leadership, specifically the VP of Operations.

The duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist include, but are not limited to:
Talent acquisition and pipeline building
Develop recruiting and interview policies
Job description creation
Post job requisitions utilizing various platforms (social nmedia, job boards, internet sourcing, etc.)
Candidate sourcing (identify qualified candidates, review resumes)
Candidate screening (screening interviews, personal interviews, checking references, and negotiating salaries for technical positions, provide summary reports of candidate qualifications and findings to senior leadership before proceeding to schedule interviews with technical leads/managers)
Advising management on interviewing, hiring, and candidate evaluation
Handle all administrative tasks related to the candidate cycle, including reporting metrics to governmental agencies and internal clients
Coordinate candidate interviews with the techincal leads
Collect interviews feedback from technical leads and provide hiring recommendations to senior leadership
Provide senior leadership with compensation analysis data and recommendations
Provide senior leadership with benefits analysis data and recommendations
Use a solid understanding of the company's compensation philosophy and employee benefits platform, partnering with HR to produce appropriate offers. Articulate offer components and philosophy to candidates to ensure acceptance.
Provide guidance and forecasting for future hiring needs
Provide recommendations to improve recruiting processes and tools
Coordinate career fairs and other recruiting events
Recruit for seasonal internship opportunities per the company's internship program plan
Work with technical leads to identify staffing needs and provide recruiting input to senior leadership
A bachelor’s degree in Business/Human Resources or equivalent experience.
Prior recruiting experience with demonstrated ability to effecitvely source candidates directly
A solid understanding of current employment law and the ability to learn and follow new developments.
Experience with applicant tracking systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent relationship management skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Strong interpersonal skills that support interactions and relationship-building with candidates and internal partners.
Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) .
Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
