Responsibilities

· Design, implement, test and own Axiom GN&C and I/O simulation models

· Configure and build simulations to support GN&C development, testing and analyses

· Draft unit tests and coordinate high-level testing of implemented models

· Collaborate with flight software developers in creating reasonably realistic environment, sensor and effector models

Required Education/Experience/Skills

· B.S. in physics or engineering domain

· Organized, thorough and methodical approach to software quality and testing

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Capable of both high quantity and high quality output

· Ability to work in a fast paced, hard charging, high stakes environment

· A passion for spaceflight

Preferences

· M.S. or PhD in physics or engineering domain

· 5+ years experience in C/C++ development

· 5+ years experience in object-oriented design

· 3+ years experience with the NASA Trick simulation framework

· Experience with xUnit compliant unit test frameworks

· Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database solutions

· Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems

· Experience with Docker-based containerization

· Experience in an agile / scrum development environment

· Experience in Gitflow coordinated configuration management schemes

Essential Requirements
