Intuitive Machines is seeking a junior level Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) Engineer to join our Lunar program. The engineer, under the supervision and mentorship of the lead engineer, will be involved with all aspects of procurement, assembly, integration and testing of both test and flight articles.
Responsibilities
Work with the AI&T team overseeing the build and test process for the NOVA-C lunar lander.
Work with the composite production team to prepare flight hardware for final integration.
Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to accelerate the build process of the NOVA-C lander.
Work with manufacturing, design engineers, and project managers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements.
Define and take ownership of processes that support the needs of the program and work efficiently.
Interface with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve production and integration problems.
Identify ways to resolve non-conformances and work with the quality team to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor of Science in engineering disciplines.
Experience working hands-on with various types of hardware
Enthusiastic and comfortable in a fast-paced, quickly changing, challenging environment
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Preferences
Experience with production in clean room type environments
Experience with carbon composite materials
Previously worked in a team environment or lead a team
Essential Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
