Intuitive Machines is seeking an Intern with a proclivity for Systems Engineering to join our Lunar program.
Responsibilities
Systems Engineering and Test & Verification functions/support. These include but are not limited to:
Work with IM T&V lead to formulate processes, track progress, conduct tests and assist in the verification of Nova-C lunar lander systems.
Coordinate with both IM integrated test capabilities (VTS, FlatSat, EMC, ECCO, HATS), the system owner and the unit under test.
Capture and document the test procedures, results, and findings.
Upgrade the MEL from a system sizing tool to a dedicated Mass/Power/Thermal Limits, etc. tracker for IM-2 & -3 missions.
Additionally, as time permits, to be tasked with a Mechanical design activity and exercise Solid Works capability in the development of a TBD small project in support of T&V.
Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to identify improvements to designs
Participate in design, manufacturing readiness, and test readiness reviews
Required Education/Experience/Skills
Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Program in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline.
Experience working hands-on with various types of hardware
Enthusiastic and comfortable in a fast-paced, quickly changing, challenging environment
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
Good verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Preferences
Experience with mechanical systems
Essential Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods.
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
