Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer professional to join our Lunar program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deploy development environments

  • Manage software deployments

  • Monitor CI and CD process for exceptions caused by infrastructure

  • Assist with creation and maintaining of software tests and infrastructure to support them

  • Coordinate production/test systems with the development and IT teams

  • Manage and maintain software defined infrastructure used in product development

  • Recognize and correct issues with infrastructure components to maintain service continuity

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • B.S. in computer science, physics, or engineering domain

  • Experience in Gitflow coordinated configuration management schemes

  • Experience with Docker-based containerization

  • Experience with Windows and POSIX-based operating systems

  • Experience with some type of scripting (Shell, Powershell, Python, etc)

  • Self-motivated and proactive

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferences

  • Experience with xUnit compliant unit test frameworks

  • Infrastructure Monitoring (Prometheus, etc) 

  • Kubernetes

  • Ansible

  • AWS

  • Puppet

  • Gitlab CI

  • SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.

  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.

  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.

  • Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)

  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.

  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.

  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
