Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to join our Lunar program.
Responsibilities
Work with avionics enclosure designers to ensure that the enclosures meet the specified hardware requirements
Work with thermal engineers to ensure enclosures meet thermal requirements
Work with manufacturing and quality engineers to identify improvements to designs
Interact with other design teams and the avionics team to coordinate changes
Work with suppliers to determine the best design practices and components selection
Participate in design, manufacturing readiness, and test readiness reviews
Required Education/Experience/Skills
Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
Experience working hands-on with various types of hardware
Enthusiastic and comfortable in a fast-paced, quickly changing, challenging environment
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Preferences
Experience with power systems on aircraft or spacecraft
Experience with mechanical systems
Essential Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
