Intuitive Machines is on a mission to open access to the Moon for the progress of humanity. The Company’s first mission to the Moon, IM-1, will be lifting off from Cape Canaveral, Florida to embark on three-week mission to the Moon where it will spend approximately two weeks on the surface of the Moon’s south pole region conducting science experiments and technology demonstrations for NASA and private customers.
You are invited to come bear witness as Intuitive Machines attempts to return the United States to the Surface of the Moon for the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972.
Where will the launch take place?
Intuitive Machines’ IM-1 launch will lift off from historic launchpad 39A located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Cape Canaveral Florida. Intuitive Machines intends to host launch viewing events at similarly distanced locations within the Kennedy Space Center Complex.
When will the launch occur?
Intuitive Machines’ IM-1 lunar mission is targeted for a multi-day launch window which opens no earlier than mid-February, 2024.
Please note, many factors are considered before a launch attempt, even within hours of liftoff. When booking travel and accommodations and variables, please keep in mind that variables such as weather or technical issues can cause a launch to become unfavorable and rescheduled to a later date. It is highly recommended to book refundable flights and hotels. We recommend keeping the backup attempts in mind when planning your trip. Intuitive Machines is working to provide exact launch timing information.
