Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced Flight Controller and Training engineer  to join our Lunar program.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to*

  • Lead a flight control discipline, train, and fly real-time lunar missions as part of an operations team at Intuitive Machines.

  • Define, manage and implement training plans for operations personnel at Intuitive Machines to cover real-time decision making, verbal communications, system technical knowledge and application, and failure response training.

  • Develop personnel plans and performance tracking, scheduling, resource management (facilities, tools, software), and training materials for said training plans.

  • Perform other systems integration tasks as required, including bringing operational perspectives to systems architecture meetings, daily interaction with systems engineering test and verification teams, and leading discussions of operational significance to the program at various forums.

  • Aid in development of integration products including test plans, regulatory documentation, system architecture and design solutions as related to operations, interface definitions, mission timelines, and procedures.


  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited school in the field of engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science. 

Required Experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability*

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience with systems engineering encompassing the ability to plan, design, develop and verify technical solutions.

  • Experience with planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring of requirements management processes and training.

  • Experience resolving cross-functional technical issues.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Capable of both high quantity and high quality output.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hard charging, high stakes environment.

  • A passion for spaceflight.
